There’s no doubt but that Kilminchy Village is a beautiful estate that is the envy of many. With over 700 homes of different styles spread through the village, Kilminchy is bigger than many towns.

It was very heartening to see so many volunteers from the community come together on Wednesday 10 April during Laois Clean Up Week to lend a hand in collecting litter from all around the estate.

As well as countless bags of litter, volunteers managed to pull at least three mattresses, a suitcase, broken toys and many other objects that had been illegally dumped in the area. John and Sean went above and beyond by going into the lake to clear some unsightly rubbish. All in all it was a productive day as can be seen in the pictures.
