As you may be aware, there has been a lot of activity in Kilminchy in the last few months. We launched our first ever Facebook page and we hope the members and the community will support our page as the place to go for local information. By now, everybody will have noticed that a lot of new trees have sprung up in our estate, planted by a group of volunteers. You can read more about it here. In conjunction with Laois Cleanup Week, a group of volunteers came together and not only cleared a lot of litter around the estate but also recovered a number number of large items including three mattresses to be safely disposed of. And of course, the very ambitious Green Infrastructure Plan has been progressing very well. You can read more about it on our Facebook page or you can see the full Green Infrastructure Plan by clicking here.
The Green Infrastructure Plan for Kilminchy is very ambitious, visionary and far reaching and if implemented in full or even in part, it will have a lasting positive impact on Kilminchy.

And finally for now, an EGM has been called for Thursday 6th June to discuss the final Green Infrastructure Plan proposal and following the presentation and discussion, members will be asked to vote for the plan.
